Diagnosis and Treatment of Pain
We strive to eliminate or reduce chronic pain through a diagnosis-guided treatment plan. Patients receive a comprehensive medical history evaluation and a thorough physical. In some cases, additional testing may be required. We take the time to understand each of our patients' individual issues and use our experience with the widest range of treatments to offer the best care options available.
Once a diagnosis is made, our piece of the therapeutic puzzle involves giving injections of numbing medicine or steroids. Sometimes we give them into joints, muscles or near nerves supplying painful areas. If necessary, massage, physical therapy, acupuncture, psychological and chiropractic care are available through referral.
Multidisciplinary Approach
To offer our patients the best possible care, we offer a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. We recognize the unique role of many related medical and non-medical specialties so our approach may involve marshalling the help of internists, neurologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, physical rehabilitation specialists (physiatrists), chiropractors, orthopedists, as well as physical therapists and massage therapists where indicated.
